Catching Up on Names in the News
It was a busy week for brand naming! Here are a few highlights that caught my eye:
• SkinnyDipped: This health-conscious snack brand just launched a new line of dipped almonds and cashews called “Salty + Sweet.” I’m a big fan of the brand name “SkinnyDipped” – it’s playful, memorable, and cleverly hints at the product’s better-for-you ingredients coated in something delicious.
• Amplitude Energy: Cooper Energy is rebranding to “Amplitude Energy” – a simple yet impactful company name for the energy sector. I was surprised to find this name still available and applaud their team for securing such a strong and relevant moniker.
• Egoo Health AB: Qlife recently abandoned plans to rebrand as “Egoo.” Frankly, I’m relieved! “Egoo” didn’t resonate with me as as a biomarker technology company name and evoked unpleasant messy/gooey imagery.
